Barcelona forced to sell another star?

FC Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has hinted that the club could be forced to sell one of their stars to comply with Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.

New reports surfaced this week claiming Ansu Fati has agreed to leave the club in the current transfer window.

The 20-year-old winger has not been a regular in the Xavi's team over the past season-and-a-half and could now look to find a new challenge.

Xavi's comments after the Joan Gamper Tropher on Tuesday certainly hinted that the Spain international could be used to make way in order to comply with FFP.

"Ansu? We'll see, until August 31st we can't say anything," Xavi said, as per Mundo Deportivo.

"It all depends on Financial Fair Play for us. And we have to see with Ferran Torres and Raphinha, there is a lot of competition up front."

Meanwhile, the club are reportedly finding it difficult to register new players for the upcoming LALIGA season.

ESPN have reported that the Catalans are struggling to secure the "necessary financing" to register the new signings and contract renewals.

As a result, Barcelona will not be able to field new signings Ilkay Gundogan,  Iñigo Martínez and Oriol Romeu while Gavi, Sergio and Ronald Araujo also can't play after signing new contracts.
