Harry Kane says Tottenham no longer fear the UEFA Champions League after winning Group H

Spurs have proved a powerhouse in the European Cup this season, highlighted by their 3-1 win over Real Madrid, while they also secured home and away victories over Borussia Dortmund.

Those results have ensured Tottenham’s place in the knockout rounds as group winners, and star striker Kane says that has helped the club overcome any sense of awe against the world’s biggest teams.

Kane said: "When you beat Borussia Dortmund at home and then draw at Real Madrid and beat them at home, you come away thinking this Champions League is not so scary.

"We went to Dortmund two years ago and got battered. It wasn't a game we looked forward to then.

"But now, when you are competing with and beating these big clubs in Europe, you tend to look forward more to playing them.

"You want to play in big stadiums against big clubs when you know you can do well.

"Everybody connected with the club should enjoy this moment.

"To think how far we have come from last year in the Champions League [when they exited at the Group stage] to now, when we've finished top with one game to go, is something very special."
