Mohamed Abou-Gabal sends clear message to Zamalek

Abou-Gabal certainly put the rest of Africa on notice with his displays for Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The 33-year-old is yet make a final decision on his future, but did publicly tell the club he wants to feel appreciated.

"I haven't made up my mind regarding my future with Zamalek yet," Abou-Gabal tolf CBC TV channel.

"When I joined Zamalek back in the 2013/14 season, I won the Egyptian Premier League and Egypt Cup with them and when I left I gave up a lot of my unpaid dues.

"After leaving, I didn't even make a phone call asking for money. Zamalek is a great club and they the reason people know who I am today.

"Later, when I returned to Zamalek, I wasn't paid fairly but even then I didn't say anything.

"When the previous board of directors talked to me about contract extension, I didn't discuss my salary with them as well.

"I just told the club officials that I want to feel appreciated, that's all."
