Galaxy wired in FIFA liberation struggles
The consequences of FIFA’s registration ban on TS Galaxy have left the Betway Premiership outfit struggling for options upon the start of the new season.
Tim Sukazi’s club has suffered consecutive defeats in starting their 2025/26 season – surrendering a two-goal cushion in the MTN8 against Sekhukhune United and then turning their league start into disappointment against newcomers Durban City.

So, two weeks in a row Galaxy have been knocked out of the cup and then lost out on three points at home.
The issue at hand for the club has been their blacklisting by FIFA.
From what had gone up to five transfer bans in recent months, Galaxy are now down to one, which came to place on April 29 and will remain active until it is lifted.
This has meant they have not been able to register all their new signings – Ntandoyenkosi Nkosi, Anslin William, Matome Mmolai, Mzwandile Dlamini, Siyabonga Nguessan, Onke Moletshe, Sedwyn George, and Veluyeke Zulu.
They played their MTN8 with limited options on the bench then again came up against Durban City with only five players on the bench.
Ahead of the MTN8 match last week, they cleared three (from December 9 and 19, 2024 and May 7, 2025) of the four transfer bans that they have been sitting on but unfortunately found themselves with another fresh ban on July 30.
It then brought their outstanding bans to two (April 29 and July 30).
The one from July 30 was then lifted within days of coming into effect.
In clearing four of the five bans, Galaxy have spent millions in making all the respective payments due to all affected parties.

If the last ban is not lifted, then they will again travel to Polokwane with limited options for the match against Sekhukhune United on Wednesday (19:30).
Galaxy have another pending case involving Jegbay Morris Konneh, who won his case at FIFA’s DC and must now be paid USD118 800 (approx. R2,1 million).
The club immediately asked for the grounds of the decision, which sets aside the 45-day notification to pay.
