Stellenbosch head coach Steve Barker is hoping to get Nyiko Mobbie's paperwork sorted in time so he can unleash the defender on Wednesday.
The Western Cape side are hoping to complete the player's signing before Wednesday's Absa Premiership encounter against Bidvest Wits.
Mobbie is expected to join Stellenbosch on a season-long loan deal from parent club Mamelodi Sundowns.
The newly promoted Stellies are still looking for their first top-flight goal, and will hope to get one at Bidvest Stadium on Wednesday when they visit the Clever Boys.
Barker reveals that with Sundowns busy with their CAF Champions League preparations, the deal could not be finalised last week.
"Ja Mobbie we are just waiting for the paperwork to get finalised," Barker tells snl24.com/kickoff.
"He's been here since last week so he is training with the team, hopefully we'll get it all done today. Sundowns have been in their CAF game so ja, I'm sure he will be available by our next game which is Wednesday. He will be available.
"Ja, as I said we first have to finalise the paperwork, so hopefully that will be done today. It's just a loan deal till the end of the season."
