Chippa completed two deadline day transfers, with Nyiko Mobbie and Luvuyo Phewa having moved to the Port Elizabeth outfit on season-long loan deals.
Mobbie, who was signed by Sundowns from Free State Stars in 2019, spent last season on loan at Stellenbosch FC, while snl24.com/kickoff revealed in July that Phewa had joined the Tshwane outfit from Real Kings at the end of last season.
"Chippa United are proud to announce the signing of two players – right-back Nyiko Mobbie and midfielder Luvuyo Phewa – in this transfer window period," read a statement from the club.
"The duo is on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns for the remainder of this 2020/21 Premier Soccer League football season. They have both officially begun training with the Chilli Boys."
United coach Lehlohonolo Seema has welcomed the two new additions to his squad after losing the services of goalkeeper Veli Mothwa, who has joined AmaZulu.
"I am excited to have both Nyiko and Luvuyo being added to our squad, where I strongly believe they will contribute massively to this team," said Seema.
"These two youngsters fit into our set philosophy and vision for this campaign."
Sundowns have also loaned out Phakamani Mahlambi to Usuthu for the current campaign.
