Former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Williams Okpara joins Witbank Spurs' technical team

Spurs on Friday confirmed the appointment of Mkhatshwa as head coach, replacing Themba Mafu, who has since been promoted to the technical director role.

'The team has bolstered it's technical team by adding two new members. Vusi Mkhatshwa, who is on his second stint with the team after spending some time in the 2010/2011, will be joining as the head coach for the remainder of the season,' read a statement from the club.

'Mr Mafu will be moving to the technical director role. He has vast experience in this league and we hope he will add some needed input on our bench.'

Meanwhile, Okpara - a Bucs legend who starred in their CAF Champions League triumph in 1995 - will assume a coaching role in the goalkeeping department.

'The second addition is Williams Okpara a former Orlando Pirates keeper who will be assisting in our goalkeeping position,' the statement noted.

'The team welcomes the duo who will resume their duties next week. We wish them all the best and promise to give all the support they will require, from the team to the fans.'

Siyavutha are positioned sixth on the NFD standings after 23 rounds of fixtures and, while trailing leaders Highlands Park by a massive 18 points, they are just four points off the promotion play-off spots.
