It has been revealed why Manqoba Mngqithi has the odds stacked against him as his new club Golden Arrows face off against the mean machine he spent more than a decade at, Mamelodi Sundowns.
No matter how much it may be downplayed, Mngqithi and opposition coach Miguel Cardoso will undoubtedly be looking to prove something against each other at Hammarsdale's Mpumalanga Stadium.
The two sides in a Betway Premiership clash on Wednesday, with Sundowns looking to pull further away from the chasing pack.

According to their former dribbling wizard Manqoba Ngwenya, Mngqithi is too much of a freshman at Abafana Bes'thende for this game to serve as a fair comparison between the two tacticians.
"Everyone has tried, without success, to stop Sundowns' runaway train, including Orlando Pirates. So, what chance does Manqoba Mngqithi, who has just joined Arrows, have?," he quizzed.
"Yes, he might know the Sundowns players because he coached them for a long time, but this Sundowns team is currently in great form.
"It's going to be difficult for Manqoba to devise a plan to stop them. There's just too much firepower at Sundowns, and you can't even tell who will start tonight.
"I don't think this should be a yardstick to measure Manqoba against Cardoso - it would be unfair.

"Manqoba is a good coach, and in time, he will be able to improve that Arrows team, just like Pitso Mosimane did when he brought him in (at Sundowns)."
Kickoff is at 19:30.
