The 8-0 defeat to Al Nassr is coach Pitso Mosimane's worst defeat in his managerial career.

With Pitso Mosimane's Abha Club suffering a humiliating 8-0 defeat on Tuesday, reports suggest an urgent meeting was held on Wednesday, one that could have huge implications for the tactician.

Earlier this week, the South African coach suffered a huge setback in his quest to get his side out of the relegation zone in the Saudi Pro League.

Abha, who are currently 17th in the division, were thumped 8-0 by second-placed Al Nassr, with Cristiano Ronaldo netting a first-half hat-trick that included two free-kick goals.

Mosimane's team thus remains second from the bottom of the table, two points adrift of safety with eight more league games to play.

The abovementioned result has led to some huge concern at Abha, with an urgent meeting by the team's administration taking place on Wednesday, according to Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiah, while Sport360 has even suggested that Mosimane's job could now be at risk.

It is claimed the club's management summoned all players and coaching staff to the meeting to discuss the reasons for their heavy defeat to Al Nassr.

The reports indicates that the administration is now working on developing a new plan to get the club out of the relegation zone.

As it stands, Mosimane's contract is due to expire at the end of the season as he was brought in on a short-term deal in January to help Abha keep in the top flight.
