FC Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has sent a warning to Paris Saint-Germain after Luis Enrique's dig.

The Catalan giants defeated PSG 3-2 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday evening.

Enrique seemingly had a dig at Xavi after the game, saying that his Barcelona's team had better style than Xavi's.

The current Barcelona has described Tuesday's second leg as a 'war'.

“We knew that we were going to suffer. They have improved a lot. The team has played a very good game in terms of seriousness and professionalism. We wanted to continue putting pressure on Madrid. People who play less have been at a high level. There are three vital points,” he told the media, as per Barca Blaugranes.

“I have a very good relationship with the footballers, I believe in the family that we are within the group. I knew that we were going to take a step forward. I think we have improved at the group level. We defend better, we have more ambition. We are in the best moment of the season. Today competing very well.

“We haven’t lost a game for three months. I see the team as very good. We are in a great dynamic and we have to take advantage of it.

“Now comes the best, the most beautiful, the most exciting. Ideal scenario to compete. We have a tremendous football war on Tuesday and then the Clásico. We want to do something big knowing that things are complicated.”
