A former Al Ahly star has ridiculed rumours that complaints were made against Pitso Mosimane during his time at the Egyptian giants.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach was in charge of the Egyptian giants from October 2020 to June 2022, a period that saw the club win two CAF Champion League titles, one Egyptian Premier League, and a domestic cup.

His time at the club, however, was not all smiles as Kora365 reports that some players filed certain complaints against the South African tactician.

Speaking on Sport FM Radio, former star of the Egyptian giants, Saad Samir, ridiculed the idea that they were unhappy with the ex-Mamelodi Sundowns man.

"This did not happen at all, and what was said is incorrect and illogical," he stated.

"Are we going to tell Al-Ahly management that we do not want a coach who has won two African Champions Leagues and a bronze medal in the World Cup and the League?"

Samir currently plies his trade at Cleopatra FC after leaving Al Ahly on a permanent transfer in August 2023. He won seven league titles with the side, one of them under Mosimane.
