Egyptian giants Al Ahly have reportedly decided to make a major U-turn on South African Percy Tau.
The club's Planning Committee have decided not to renew the former Mamelodi Sundowns star's contract, with manager Marcel Koller agreeing to his sale on one condition, according to Kora Arabia.

It has been said that the South African attacker was on the verge of securing a new three-year deal with the Red Devils
The new contract would reportedly have seen him earn an annual salary of $1.2 million (R23 million), which will increase by $100 000 (R1.9 million) in the first season, $150 000 (R2.8 million) in the next, and $200 000 (R3.8 million) in the final year.
Now, however, a source cited by Kora Arabia stated the decision comes as a result of his "level declining significantly since the beginning of the season" and the high demands of his salary amid the club's difficulties when it comes to paying foreign players in dollars.
The outlet added that the club are now looking to sell the former Brighton & Hove Albion attacker at the end of the season.
Koller, meanwhile, is believed to have agreed to the Committee's decision, but stipulated that a suitable replacement should be lined up before his departure.

Tau joined Al Ahly in August 2021 and has since made 98 appearances for the side, netting 24 times and assisting 13. This season, he has scored one goal in the CAF Champions League, while in the Egyptian Premier League, he has found the target four times in five matches.
