Young Africans coach Miguel Gamondi says his future is uncertain after their elimination from the CAF Champions League.

Young Africans coach Miguel Gamondi has hinted at a potential exit from the club after their contentious elimination from the CAF Champions League at the hands of Mamelodi Sundowns.

Yanga were dumped out of the quarter-finals of the Champions League last Friday after losing 3-2 on penalties following the two sides' failure to score in both legs.

The result brought about some controversy, though, with a number of Yanga supporters feeling aggrieved by a disallowed goal, believing that the ball had crossed the goal line completely.

Nevertheless, the Tanzanian giants' road in continental football has come to an end this term, and it now appears that their manager's time in charge of them could also be coming to a conclusion.

According to The Citizen Tanzania, the Argentine boss' contract is due to expire at the end of the current season, and the 57-year-old has now suggested that his future is hanging in the balance as he cannot confirmed whether or not he will extend his day.

"I cannot reveal my next plan with the club while I am not sure I will be with the team," the tactician said.

"Regarding plans for next season? It's still early to know whether I will be here or not."

The abovementioned publication does state further , however, that there is an option to extend included in his contract, which can now be activated by mutual consent given that the coach's mandate was to at least guide Yanga beyond the CAFCL group stage.

The club are also in pole position to win the Tanzanian Premier League, maintaining a five-point lead over second-placed Azam FC at the top of the table.
