With Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos due to name his preliminary squad for the AFCON finals this week, Siyabonga Ngezana has continued raising his hand for selection from Romania.
The former Kaizer Chiefs defender has put himself in firm contention for selection by pressing ahead in his path of establishing himself as a regular at table topping FCSB (formerly Steaua Bucuresti).

Sunday evening was league match number 19 for FCSB and Ngezana again put in a polished 90-minute appearance away at second placed CFR Cluj.
It was a tricky contest against their nearest rivals and Ngezana’s team earned a point to maintain a five-point lead at the top with 11 games remaining.
The 1986 European champions are chasing their 27th domestic league title and their first since the 2014/15 season.
Ngezana is desperately in need of silverware having failed to win any through the seven years that he spent in the first team at Chiefs.
Sunday’s game was the 10th consecutive league match that the 26-year-old has played from start to finish for his new employers.
Since the 5-2 win away at Sepsi OSK on September 24, Ngezana has played every minute in the league topping up 10 in a row on Sunday.
So effective has been Ngezana, that he is only pushing for a justified inclusion in Bafana’s AFCON squad but has also been linked with a move to France or Belgium next season.
Ngezana has totalled 14 games for FCSB to date with all but one of those appearances full shifts.
