Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande has explained the intrigue of how Milford FC could beat Amakhosi, only to be embarrassed by Stellenbosch FC in the next round of the Nedbank Cup.
The Glamour Boys were bundled out of the tournament in the first round by Motsepe Foundation Championship side Milford on penalties after a goalless draw in extra-time.
However, after getting all the attention of knocking out the Soweto giants, the Stallions couldn't maintain their performance in the Round of 16 and were hammered 6-1 by Stellies.

Amakhosi got further criticism from being being knocked out by a second-tier side whom the Cape Winelands outfit make light work of dispatching of.
Katsande, who spent a decade at Chiefs, has explained that just wearing the famous Gold and Black jersey has demanding expectations and the added motivation of the opponents, who also want to see themselves wearing such attire, makes it all the trickier.
"When you're playing for Chiefs, you don't know the next player you're going to play against, he wants to take your contract, so clearly you're fighting an opponent, you're fighting management, you're fighting teammates, you're fighting supporters, you're doing it for your family. Five things," Katsande said on Izinja zeGame YouTube Channel.
"Five things I'm carrying in each and every game. When you start the game, I'm already 5-0 down. I need to recover those five things. When I win, I've beaten five things, meaning it's 6-5. When you relax, one of these things you won't recover," he explained.

"I was laughing when people were saying Chiefs couldn't beat Milford (yet) Milford was thrashed by Stellenbosch. I said, you know what, they don't understand when it comes to the badge of Kaizer Chiefs, every player is coming with an A+ game, meaning they are 33 vs 11, you know what I'm saying. They want to take your space," added the former midfield hardman.
Chiefs exiting the Nedbank Cup extended their trophy-less run to nine seasons, and finishing second in the league this season will be considered a major achievement considering the inconsistency that has been on display from Cavin Johnson's men.
