Former Kaizer Chiefs center-back Dominic Isaacs warns the club's players not to be sluggish in their approach in the remaining games as there is still a lot to play for.

It has not been a good season for Amakhosi after missing out on MTN8, Black Label, and the Nedbank Cup.

The DStv Premiership title is also no longer within their reach, the Naturena-based side is in position six on the log table and currently trailing log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns by 13 points.

"There’s a lot to play for, it depends on what angle you looking at it," Isaacs tells KickOff before Chiefs win over Golden Arrows.

"The Chiefs players they need to play for their futures. Yes, they can't win trophies let's be honest, but there are other things you can play for.

"You can put a smile on the chairman's face, you can put a smile on the supporter's face. And that is something trophies cannot buy.

"You must ask yourself what is happening. You've had Arthur Zwane, Molefi Ntseki, and now Cavin Johnson, but the players are still not responding.

"So it's impossible to point fingers at the coach. The players must just try and put in good performances. I'm talking about entertainment plus results.

"There is still a CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup spot to play for, right now focus should be on qualifying for continental football.

"Qualifying for continental football could help to cover the wounds. They should try to finish in position 2 or 3.

"It would help Chiefs to play outside the country because the pressure is too much now for the club.

"At the moment the Chiefs players are not responding, it's sad because when you look at the team individually they are up there with the best.

"That's something they should look into Chiefs, why are our players not responding?

"Is the management giving them everything they want? Yes. Is the club being professional? Yes. Are they being paid on time? Yes. But the players are still not responding.

"Haaikhona it's been a while now. They've had two pre-seasons in one season, you can’t tell me they can't put their heads together and grind out the results.

"The big question is, why are these players not responding?
