Domestic football is set for another sad chapter with yet another household football outfit set for consecutive relegations down the South African football pyramid to the amateur ranks.
Facts show that Leopards sit bottom of the Motsepe Foundation Championship with 18 points from 25 games.

With five games remaining, Leopards sit eight points away from the last safety position occupied by Platinum City Rovers.
This means for any chance of survival, Lidoda Duvha must win three games first while hoping that Rovers don’t pick up any points just like they will also hope that Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila also don’t win any games.
From then onwards, Leopards must then better whatever both Rovers and TTM pick up.
Sounds close to impossible for club boss David Thidiela and his coach Owen da Gama.
Da Gama joined Leopards a month ago but has failed to turn around the fortunes of the club having won just a single game from eight.
Leopards have only gathered five points from 24 under the experienced gaffer who has previously worked with Bafana Bafana, Orlando Pirates, Platinum Stars, Bloemfontein Celtic, Highlands Park, Free State Stars, and Sekhukhune United.
Lidoda Duvha played in the DStv Premiership as recent as the 2020/21 season, but such has been their campaign this season that they have only won thrice in 25 games. 
It was only last season that Jomo Cosmos sank to the amateur ranks of the ABC Motsepe League after finishing second from the bottom.
Cosmos hold a proud history in domestic football in that they are owned and coached by a great in Jomo Sono.
Ezenkosi were top league champions in 1987 and won several knockout trophies while providing the platform for notable names as Pitso Mosimane, Philemon Masinga (late), Helman Mkhalele and Tico-Tico amongst many.
In previous years Moroka Swallows, former PSL champions Santos, and Dynamos have gone down from the country’s second tier league after having previously played in the top league.
