Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 AmaZulu

Kaizer Chiefs bagged a third successive win in the DStv Diski Challenge with a 2-1 victory over AmaZulu in Sunday’s action.

A stunner from Siyanda Hlangabeza got the ball rolling and saw Usuthu off to the perfect start, leaving the work cut out for the mighty Amakhosi.

The Soweto giants rallied themselves and got back on a level footing just before halftime through Neo Bohloko, who took full advantage of poor defending the visitors had applied.

Bohloko showed up yet again albeit on the stroke of halftime and doubled his as well as the team’s lead with another cleverly taken finish.

The Amakhosi managed to hold on their lead throughout the course of the clash and picked up three valuable points that extended their winning run, while Usuthu’s troubled campaign continues.

Cape Town City 3-0 TS Galaxy

Cape Town City cemented sixth place on the league standings with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over TS Galaxy out on their own turf.

Goals from Siphamandla Dondolo, Luke Daniels and Jody Ah Shene were enough to get the Citizens over the line and leave the Rockets walking away empty handed.

It’s yet another disappointing result for the Ashley Makhanya’s charges, as the host bounced back from last weekend’s loss to the title-chasing Mamelodi Sundowns to remain in the top-half.

Royal AM 0-0 Cape Town Spurs

Cape Town Spurs moved one spot up from tenth to ninth despite playing to a tough goalless draw against Royal AM at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

Both teams weren’t too overboard in so far as getting out of the starting blocks following kick-off, but were quite conservative in approach and struggled to open up one another.

Nothing in this approach changed following the resumption, seeing the two outfits ending up with a share of the spoils in the end.
