Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Bernard Morrison will miss his side's clash against Marumo Gallants in the CAF Confederation Cup after being denied entry into South Africa.

Morrison was prohibited from returning to the country after contravening immigration regulations back in 2018.

The former Bucs midfielder overstayed his visa by two months after its expiration.

Yanga SC arrived on Sunday for their second-leg clash at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium holding a 2-0 first-leg advantage with Morrison scoring the second goal during injury time.

"Morrison was banned for five years," Young Africans president Hersi Said revealed to KickOff.

"We consulted the embassy. We tried everything with no success. Yes, he will miss the match against Marumo Gallants in Rustenburg on Wednesday."

Kick-off is at 18:00.
