With Al Ahly reportedly making a U-turn on their decision to offer Percy Tau a new contract and deciding to put him up for sale, fans have had their say with some suggesting Kaizer Chiefs as his new destination...

What's the story?

The club's Planning Committee have decided not to renew the former Mamelodi Sundowns star's contract, with manager Marcel Koller agreeing to his sale on one condition, according to Kora Arabia.

Koller is believed to have agreed to the Committee's decision, but stipulated that a suitable replacement should be lined up before his departure.

Check out what the KO readers had to say:

"This is a chance for Chiefs to sign him. But we all know that they will sign him on Facebook and Twitter," says Kemisetso Boikanyo Oratile Ledwaba.

"How are they saying he has declined when he has score 4 times in 5 league matches," says Bla Jones Zw.

"I'm sure Pitso will sign him for his club in Saudi Arabia," says Trev NotNoah.

"He needs to join Chiefs he can fit there like Billiat, Castro, Dolly that's where ex Sundowns stars get retirement fund," says Sboniso Sbo Nxumalo.

"Orlando pirates supporter. Percy Tau is the best. I suggest he mustn't come home now. He has a lot to offer, he can still go to Europe,' says Nathi Nkosi.

"Naa I knew this would happen. He has been under a lot of criticism. When Al Ahly was not doing well, they wanted him out. I was just surprised during AFCON that they want to renew his contract," says Busang Mosupye.

"Tau has done his job in Egypt in the absence of Pitso, he is the man against all odds..just worried about the cyber bullies (hooligans) from SA who are going mess things up for Cassius Mailula at Toronto same way they did with Tau at Brighton," says Kantunje Moshakele.

"He will definitely get another team the guy is a great player it's still early for him to come home," says M Right Tshwarelo.

"He must come back but not to Sundowns he must go straight to Naturena," says Mbuyiselo Leonard Mchunu.

"Tau can't take this mental torture anymore, he must leave - he's not appreciated there," says DarkCloud EBaller Zama.

Meanwhile, Pitso Mosimane could become a free agent once more at the end of the current season, but if Kaizer Chiefs stand a chance of landing the 'big fish', there are three challenges they may need to address: Control of technical matters, bringing his own backroom staff, and whether or not the Soweto giants can afford the Mamelodi Sundowns coach.

Here's what the KO faithful said on the matter:

"Chiefs don't need Pitso. They should keep doing what they have been doing in their successful seasons: hire a coach from Europe or take that guy from TX Galaxy or Barker from Stellies," says Silindile Makhele.

"They must forgot about Pitso they wont afford him. I believe Nabi is a best or try Mqithi," says Sihle Nduna.

"We better gamble with Kgoloko Thobejane than paying Pitso 3 million, plus it's not like he has guaranteed results," says Excellent M'ex Malinda.

"Pitso mosimane has a technical team of 5 members and his salary rage is between R2. 5million and R3 million per month and annual earnings of R36 million," says Perceverance Nesh.

"We don't want expensive coaches we want expensive players," says David Mahlangu.

"His salary is not a problem..Budget for players and interference from the family," says Phumudzo Ronald Mudau.

"Pitso wouldn’t agree with the chiefs management of our time," says Nkhululeko Dlamini.
