Head coach Hugo Broos has named his preliminary Bafana Bafana squad for next year's Africa Cup of Nations to played in Ivory Coast.
Bafana will kick-start their Afcon campaign with a Group E clash against Mali on 16 January before meeting Namibia on 21 January and wrapping up the group stage action against Tunisia on 24 January.

However, before that, Broos is expected to trim down his squad down to 23 players before making the trip to West Africa where Bafana will be aiming to lift the prestigious trophy for the first time since 1996.

Some new faces in the preliminary squad include Kaizer Chiefs shot-stopper Bruce Bvuma who has kept two clean consecutive clean sheets for Amakhosi, as well as his former teammate in Siyabonga Ngezana, who has been a consistent performer for Romanian giants FCSB.
Notably, Orlando Pirates' Melusi Buthelezi also made a return to the national team set up, having kept an impressive eight clean sheets in 10 matches for the Buccaneers.
