The race to become the next Bafana Bafana coach has become a two-horse one, with Gordon Igesund and Steve Komphela the two men in the running.
Safa sources reveal that the Moroka Swallows and Free State Stars coaches will make a final presentation to the executive committee on June 30, after which the decision will be made on who succeeds Pitso Mosimane.
Neil Tovey, Shakes Mashaba, Igesund and Gavin Hunt were interviewed last Thursday, while Komphela only met the panel today after leading the national team to a 3-0 win against Gabon on Friday evening.
But it was Igesund and Komphela who impressed most – and it is now one of those two who will become the next Bafana coach.

Can one game make you a good coach? If Komphela lost the game on friday will he be in contention?Obviously no,so why is this dragging?
ur spot on mate. it's pretty obvious that it's SAFA's plan as well. it looks like the brazillian assistant dayz are numbered. Gordon will be coach assisted by Steve.
We all knew your BIG English might get you the job...
Believe me SAFA wil suprise many people first dey Appoint Pitso instead of Hunt bcos of Equite now it can also work for Steve.
