Siphiwe Tshabalala likely to be offered deal by Crystal Palace

Posted: 15 January 2012 Time: 11:46

Reports in the UK claim Siphiwe Tshabalala is set to be offered a deal at English Championship side Crystal Palace.

The 27-year-old Bafana Bafana vice-captain returned to South Africa on Saturday morning having completed a week's trial in south London.

And according to the Daily Star Sunday newspaper, Tshabalala was told that Palace will launch a bid to sign him on a free transfer at the end of the season just before he boarded his flight on Friday evening.

Agent Jazzman Mahlakgane refused to confirm the story, although he did say Chiefs are unlikely to stand in the player's way if he is offered the chance to move to England.

“I can't confirm anything at the moment,” he tells KickOff.com. "It's true that Shabba is now back in South Africa but we are now waiting to hear from Palace.

"Chiefs understand that he has wanted to play in Europe for a long time and there would be no problem if we had to wait for the summer because it would give him the opportunity to say goodbye to the club properly."

Tshabalala went on trial at Nottingham Forest last year. He would join compatriot Kagisho Dikgacoi at Selhurst Park if the move goes ahead.

Shabba is tired and ashamed to be paid by that famous R65million stolen from charity organisations. More and more destitute people are suffering because Chiefs took their money by cancelling Charity Cup and staring that Beer Cup.

Kickoff!Ur heading are sometimes very uninspiring. This topic doesn't relate to the contents of the article.

"Shabba reaches for his pen" is like he's abt to re-new @ Chiefs.

A heading more like:"Shabba reaches for a Crystal ball" will be eye catching.

I know i get crucified for this criticism but I onced again Victor this is boring.

@Mhlangenkosi, The Ghost is right.....do'nt talk like that about the biggest Mzansi brand.....they are the only ones to represent us even in perculiar places like Vietnam where the ref uses a .38 pistiol instead of a whistle (Philani Kubheka) lol.

Oh....Makhosonke Bhengu is also completing a succesfull decade in China, he's gotten accustomed to the lifestyle, even though he still complains about the sushi, he wants it fried! LOL. "Ay'phekwa ngani lenhlanzi"! LOL.

Nyawana, he'll join palace for R15 000, a week just to be out of SA, he use his fish and chips profit for accomodation, we made fun of his move to a vodacom challenge level outfit that he can play for them for free so he does not have to go through what he went through!

Topics like these must be contested by those who have soccer knowledge.when player is release from his contract he wont be appearing on that team register anymore.Philane went to vietnam 'cause he was not Pierat anymore. So the rats won't be responsible for any failures , while Shabba still belong to "family business". so the line is drawn. Next time " nibo-khuluma i=sense mhlathi yenu"
