Kagisho Dikgacoi backs Siphiwe Tshabalala at Crystal Palace

Posted: 5 January 2012 Time: 21:03

Kagisho Dikgacoi thinks Siphiwe Tshabalala will prove his quality during his 10-day trial with Crystal Palace.

The Bafana Bafana vice-captain was at Palace’s training ground in south London on Thursday as he attempts to secure a move to the English Championship club.

Dikgacoi confirms that Tshabalala joined Dougie Freedman’s squad for a light morning session, but the Kaizer Chiefs star is expected to take part in full training on Friday.

“He was there but we didn’t do much because we were doing some recovery work ahead of Saturday’s game,” KG tells KickOff.com.

“Most of the guys who played in the last two matches against Millwall and Leicester were resting, but we will be back doing intensive training on Friday so he will be joining in with us then.”

Tshabalala has been granted permission to attend the trials by Chiefs after a similar arrangement with Nottingham Forest last season. But Dikgacoi, who joined Palace from Fulham last year, has backed his international teammate to be successful.

“Tshabalala has what it takes to play in this League – even in the Premiership,” Dikgacoi tells KickOff.com.

“He is an experienced international player, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up signing. It would be great to have another South African at the club, so I hope he does well.”

What bench? Shabba and a whole lot of our African players are superior one on one put against European cows, the English are worse, they play like programmed robots (for me atleast).

We are born with it, whilst theirs is mostly cultivated and nurtured at a yuong age....except for ama-Italians nama Spanish of-course, they are technically adept as compared to the Brits.

I wish Shabalala succeeds, it's a pity he had to trial.....again. Rise Shabba, rise! mh.

I didn't expect Dikgacoi to say anything other than what he said about his national Teammate.

I don't he is honest when he says that "Tshabalala has what it takes to play in this League – even in the Premiership". He knows very well that this statement is not true. He just expect favours from Nyawana when he captains the national team to speak to Pitso to have him (Kagisho) selected in the first 11.

@Tolly.Toilet i also didn't expect you to say anything positive even if your terminal ill mother's life depended on it.

What i know is that Crystal Palace don't visit Kickoff and never in their remain life span are they going to visit Kickoff. Your jealousy will take you very far. Some comments sound like god has betrayed their team again since they regard their players as the best but not even a Bundesliga club is courting their services because they are the ones that are average.

From the Khosi Family: Shabba do the best you can. It is your future. You not doing it for the fans, Chiefs or anybody else you doing it for yourself.

Rise Khosi Rise.

I m happy that Nyawana realised that he is over-rated here in Mzansi....hence confined himself for trials in UK Mvela.Remember how Theodolpheaous Khumalo (aka doctor) was hailed as best player of that generation in SA but nobody else world-wide recognised him.USA feeling sympath for him, gave him a lifeline but failed to impress.Even BB coaches esp foreign ones snapped him.....that is why he has only 50 caps for BB.
