Kagisho Dikgacoi wants Morgan Gould as a team-mate at Crystal Palce

Posted: 9 July 2011 Time: 10:45

Kagisho Dikgacoi admits he would love Bafana Bafana team-mate Morgan Gould to join him at English Championship side Crystal Palace.

The SuperSport United defender is expected to attend trials at Palace’s training camp in south-west England next week after boss Dougie Freedman confirmed his interest in the 28-year-old. And having just signed a three-year deal at Selhurst Park after nearly two years at fellow Londoners Fulham, Dikgacoi believes Gould has what it takes to be successful.   “Morgan is a very, very good player and Palace won’t make any mistake signing him,” he tells KickOff.com.   “He’s my team-mate for Bafana Bafana and has shown in the last few matches for the national side that he is talented enough to play in Europe. He’s big and strong, with the ability to read the game well and organise the defence so I expect him to do very well.”   “It would be great to have another South African at the club – we already have a few extra supporters coming to our matches so I’m expecting a lot more if Morgan does sign.”   Dikgacoi has been hard at work in pre-season training this week after his switch from west to south of the English capital was confirmed last Monday.    The former Golden Arrows captain played 13 games for the Eagles on loan last term and is expected to be an important figure for former Scotland international Freedman.

Gould comes from the football university of Jomo Cosmos and of course, he will succeed. Not that one legged nyawana from Chiefs.

Crystal Palace also need a quality striker, maybe Mphela could sign too. But that cannot afford Sundowns asking price of R1 billion.
