Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro was delighted to qualify for another final, but was disappointed to lose the second leg.

Pirates progressed to the MTN8 final despite a 1-0 loss to Stellies, as they edged them on away goals' rule after the tie ended 2-2 on aggregate.

Riveiro says although they did not play well, what matters is that they are in the final.

"We're in the final, that's the most important thing, Orlando Pirates is in the MTN8 final one more time, we gonna prepare ourselves as good as possible for that day 7 October to fight the game one more (time).Happy for the fact that we're there," Riveiro told SuperSport TV.

"If we go to the simple way we can say we didn't play well, that the opponent was better, we lost, it's a fact, we lost 1-0, we should never lose this game in my opinion.

"It was mostly under control, it's not easy to explain that we didn't score in the last three games, that's why we suffered until the end, being a bit scared of the result because one goal, even though there were no chances to do it," he said.

"But this is football, one stupid mistake can cost one goal and one goal cost (us) the final. So it was a difficult game to play Stellenbosch but like I said many times, even though they are losing players, it's an excellent team, very physical, they can complicate the day for anyone in the league like they did it several times already.

"And today was not an exception. I think we can speak well about Stellenbosch without speaking bad about Orlando Pirates today."

The Spanish coach went on and explained that they had to go through difficult moments if they were to be worthy of reaching the final and emphasized that they should enjoy the moment, as it does not happen frequently that the team reaches the final.

"We played already three times with Stellenbosch and it's never easy. I've never been involved in an easy game during my career. If you want to go to a final you have to suffer, you have to fight.

"You have to go through difficult moments like we had today, especially in the first-half early in the game. Is it the way we were expected to play today? No, but this is a cup game, it's a different story. We came here with a one goal advantage and that's playing a role also in the game," he said.

"At the end of the day we're a team in the final, we have to celebrate it because it's not that frequent that you find yourself in finals. You can do it because we're working here at Orlando Pirates, we have all the resources in our hands to do it.

"So we have to be happy, enjoy the moment and in two weeks do our best in that game," he added.
