Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has lamented the side's struggles upfront and admits that Amakhosi are still in need of more firepower.
With an injury list that has included Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Khama Billiat, Ashley Du Preez and Caleb Bimenyimana at various points of 2023 alone, Chiefs are yet to find a consistent attacking line and have subsequently struggled to form combinations upfront.
The resulting chaos has seen Amakhosi struggle to unlock low-blocking teams. 10-men TS Galaxy kept Chiefs at bay to steal a point, 10-man Maritzburg United forced Amakhosi to win it at extra time, while an own goal by Olisa Ndah was needed to secure the win for the Glamour Boys on Saturday against 10-man Orlando Pirates.

Zwane has admitted that his side is still lacking some fire power upfront and injuries have not helped the situation.
"It was always going to be a challenge when you’re thin in some departments," Zwane said.
"We tried our level best to get the right players at the time [during the transfer window] and unfortunately, we couldn’t get the players we wanted. We couldn’t get the players that we thought would come and add value.
"Bringing in Caleb, we knew it would be a bit of a challenge for him in terms of adaptation, even Christian [Saile].
"I’m one coach that believes in taking care of the ball. When you look at the way we play right now, we’re trying to get into the final third as quick as possible but we need to be ruthless when we get there.
"When you’re building a team and trying g to get the combinations right, then this week you don’t have so and so, then next week you have to start again and bring in someone [else]."
Chiefs have a chance to build up some momentum and climb up the DStv Premiership table when they take on Richards Bay on Saturday.
