Let's take a look at what the readers had to say...

KO Comments

Mamelodi Sundowns kicked off their CAF Champions League Group Stage campaign with a 1-0 victory over Al Hilal Omdurmanon.

The in-form Cassius Mailula scored to earn Masandawana three points, in a game where they dominated and would be disappointed by not adding to the score line.

Mixed reactions were seen on the "In-Form Mailula fires Downs to victory in CCL" story comment section. Here's how the readers responded:

"Thank you Ka Bo Yellow, it was not an easy game against other champions. Bring it home," says lombosngoape.

"I would've expected a higher score margin," says slimtony7, who was backed by issacd.digomo:

"The pitch was unplayable. I also expected more."

"A very weak bench; Kutumela, Ralani, Ngobeni, Pieterse, Motupa and Lebusa, they are all weak. Zungu cold at times, not yet at standard required at Downs. Only Jali and Morena are the stronger players in that bench. Where is Sirino?" says Dawanadserialwinner.

Orlando Pirates overcame All Stars FC, 2-0, curtesy of goals from Monnapule Saleng and Thembinkosi Lorch to progress to the Nedbank Cup Round of 16.

It was a happy return for Lorch who made an impact from the bench and Bucs' newest signing, Makhehlene Makhaula, made his debut off the bench.

Here's how the readers responded on the "Saleng & Lorch send Bucs to NBK last 16" story:

"Good second half but long way to go still," says mohlala.ee.

"Coach less team. I wonder what the mafia is thinking," says The Briber.

"We have seen Dzukamanja and Dlamini and I think it is time to give Makgopa, Pule and Marou a chance and see what they can offer. I must say, thank you for giving Mthethwa a chance," says @Normz.

"Ndlondlo's career is finished due to this defensive coach," says skepmaswikaneng.

"This coach is not make sure. We needed the new man in for Hotto, and Lorch for Dlamini," says myanga77.

"Eish Dlamini, Dzvukamanja, Hotto and Mako are Riveiro's favourites and they are the reason why he won't last at Bucs, and I don't blame those players because they are selected by this clueless coach, Up The Bucs," says morewasn.
