Retired Congolese footballer Blaise Lelo Mbele revealed how his time at the Buccaneers laid the foundation to the millions he made during his career.

The former AS Vita striker spent two years at Pirates before playing in Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Algeria, Angola, Turkey and Malaysia.

He credited Pirates for giving him the ideal platform for making millions in places like Saudi Arabia and Tunisia and spoke glowingly about the stars he shared the pitch with at the Sea Robbers.

Here's how the fans responded to the "'Pirates made me a USD millionaire' - Mbele" story:

"I'm a KC Fan but this is what we want to hear from Former players not Muthi stories," says scolz wa likhosi.

"That's Pirates for you, not the first player to praise the team, always there when needed. You served us well Lelo," says lesibalelahane88.

"Once a Pirate always a Pirate. I am glad Pirates contributed positively to Lelo's career and now retired a millionare and still working in football. Hope one day he will return to join Orlando Pirates as a team manager. All the best Lelo," says myanga77.

Sticking with Pirates, coach Jose Riveiro has a selection headache on his hands as a host of injured players have returned from injury.

The squad has been boosted by the return of Olisa Ndah and Thembinkosi Lorch, who didn't make the matchday squad for the defeat against Sundowns.

Although Riveiro is happy to have the quality in his team, he stated that it is difficult to deal with on the "Riveiro reveals selection headache" story.

Here's how the readers responded:

"I real don't know what Ndumiso Mabena and Kermit Erasmus are doing at Orlando Pirates. The club should have kept Lepasa," says Slimtony7.

"Coach why don't you play Makgopa as a traditional number 9 and Erasmus as a second striker with wingers and 1 holding midfielder and a playmaker, to see Pirates play more crosses than penetrating with combination play? Maybe that might work but maybe not in all the matches as teams are not the same," says itumelengzukani.

"But sometimes I think the coach makes his work difficult buy fielding one striker each half of the match. The technical team should assist him in finding the formula to field two strikers and a playmaker, thus scoring goals will increase therefore being able to rotate all players as the team is not under pressure and winning," says svincent089.
