Real Madrid edged closer to the LaLiga title on Saturday evening after securing a 3-0 win over Cadiz at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Belgian Thibaut Courtois finally returned to the eleven - having recovered from an ACL injury a while ago, with Aurelien Tchouameni sacrificed in favour of Eduardo Camavinga.

Madrid attempted to settle quickest and a run out on the left by Fran Garcia saw a surging ball in the box for Joselu, but his sliding effort caused no harm.

Although, not a lot were given by the two outfits thereafter with the passing patterns, overloads, build-up phases and pressing channels evenly matched.

La Tacita de Plata managed to show courage following an underwhelming start and looked to main man Chris Ramos as the point of reference but Los Blancos didn’t lose shape.

Madrid were energised after the break and had Jeremias Ledesma at full stretch from a free-kick right on the area by Brahim Diaz which rolled behind for a corner-kick.

From the corner, Ledesma was put to work once more and pulled across to steer Dani Carvajal’s half-volley around the centre of the penalty box.

Ledesma was beaten five minutes later when Daz received sufficient amount of space to come short to the cusp of the area and nestled the top corner.

Madrid showed fresh set of legs in the final exchanges, with star player Jude Bellingham send on in the place of Turkish-born Arda Guler.

The Englishman made it comfortable after he ran in at the near post to stab a one-touch passing move into the bottom-corner – beyond Ledesma.

Joselu saw yet another attempt go abegging a little later on with a first-time header from the far side of the area, but he hit the base of the woodwork.

The forward did made up though in added time when he run in the box to meet a surging cross from Nacho Fernandes and tapped in to end the encounter in style.
