Real Madrid star 'wants' MLS move

A Real Madrid star has reportedly rejected a new deal at the club and wants to a join a team in Major League Soccer next season.

Defender Nacho Fernandez looks set to leave the Santiago Bernabeu after 23 years when his contract expires at the end of the campaign.

There were reports claiming Nacho would sign an extension with the club, but it would have only been for another year due to club's policy on players over the age of 30.

Marca have now reported that the Spanish defender is set on leaving the club and is keen on moving to the United States to continue his career.

Nacho has still been an important player for Los Blancos this season despite his limited game time, but there are also reports claiming the player's relationship with manager Carlo Ancelotti has declined.

Football Espana claim that Nacho has not been happy with some of Ancelotti's calls, which included taking him off against Real Madrid in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final this week.

Earlier this year, Nacho claimed that he  was 

"I am very happy in my life. Last year I was more worried about what was going to happen going forward and when I was I played everything until the end of the season," Nacho told reporters, as per Sports Mole.

"I'm playing a lot, I feel good, I'm not worried about my future. My relationship with the club is great, if I want to sign tomorrow I could do it."
