Real Madrid star Marcelo compares Eden Hazard and Neymar

A Real Madrid veteran has commented on the possibility of Neymar joining Zinedine Zidane's side, and in doing so, compared the world's most expensive footballer with new Los Blancos signing Eden Hazard.

Hazard is Real's biggest signing of the current transfer window so far, penning a five-year deal with the club after joining from Premier League team Chelsea in a deal believed to be worth in the region of £130 million (R2.2 billion).

With the Spanish giants reportedly still in pursuit of wantaway Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar, Los Blancos left-back Marcelo has now commented on the possibility of liking up with the former FC Barcelona star at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"Neymar's an unpredictable player. When a defender has anticipated something, he's already thought of something else and he's impossible to defend," the Brazilian said, as per Marca.

"Having Neymar at Real Madrid would be a huge pleasure. Madrid have to do everything to sign the best players in the world and his past at Barcelona wouldn't be a problem."

Marcelo was also asked about the differences between Hazard and Neymar, to which he replied: "Eden's a top player. A player of high quality and, like Neymar, he has the quality to be in the top five (best players in the world).

"He's impressive. You can't compare them, but Neymar is better for me."

Hazard made 352 appearances during his seven-year spell with Chelsea, finding the back of the net on 110 occasions.

Brazil superstar Neymar amassed 186 appearances for former club Barca, scoring 105 goals for the Blaugrana in the process.

£90 million (R1.5 billion).
