Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has described the heated bust-up between Hugo Lloris and teammate Son Heung-min as 'beautiful'.
Spurs came into the clash against Everton under severe pressure from Mourinho after three defeats in their last six Premier League outings but held the lead at the break after Michael Kean's own-goal.

However, Lloris and Son were involved in a heated incident as the teams were heading to the dressing rooms at half-time and had to be separated by the rest of the squad.

Lloris admitted after the game that his anger stemmed from Son's carelessness on a counter-attack which nearly resulted in an equaliser for Carlo Ancelotti's squad.
But Mourinho, who made history with his 200th win in the English top-flight that moved Spurs one point off seventh-placed Arsenal was full of praise over the passion the pair exuded.

"It's beautiful," he said after the game, as per Sky Sports. "It's probably as a consequence of our meetings. If you want to blame someone for that it's me. I was critical of my boys, they were not critical enough with themselves.
"I asked them to be more demanding of each other. Son is an amazing kid, everybody likes Son but the captain told him you have to do more and give more to the team."

The former Chelsea boss went on to admit that he's open to his players expressing themselves but not in front of a live television audience.
"A team of good boys and nice boys the only thing they want to win at the end of the season is the fair play cup and I've never been interested in winning that," he said.
"I don't like a team that doesn't have a critical sense. What happened at halftime shouldn't have happened there, it should have happened just inside the dressing room. But I can promise you my winning teams had big fights."
