Yadah boss sets ambitious new target for Billiat

Yadah FC's manager has now set a new target for high-flying Khama Billiat after he scored his ninth goal of the season on Sunday.

Yadah are now ninth on the Zimbabwean Premier League table following a 2-1 home victory over Bulawayo Chiefs on Sunday.

The former Kaizer Chiefs star got on the scoresheet once again as he netted in the 65th minute to level the scores, before his teammate Evans Rusike grabbed the winner in the 90th minute.

With Billiat now firmly in the race for the league's Golden Boot award despite his team being a whopping 16 points behind table-toppers FC Platinum, his boss has now set a big target for the in-form winger.

According to Soccer24, after the match against Chiefs, Yadah coach Thomas Ruzive said: "As a coach, I am giving him [Billiat] the target to be the top goalscorer come end of the season.

"And I think he can get to 20 goals.

"Next, we are playing Simba Bhora, and they are difficult to play against at home so it's a tricky tie."

Billiat is now the joint top goalscorer in the league, tied with CAPS United talisman William Manondo.

Last week, South African outlet The Citizen reported that the 33-year-old's resurgent form has seen Cape Town City reignite their interest in the player, who they wanted at the end of the 2022/23 season.

"Who wouldn't want to have him [Khama] back? As long as he is fit to play, who wouldn't want to have him in their team?" City chairman John Comitis said at the time.
