He was appointed by the Moroccan giants on 20 June after he abruptly parted ways with Mamelodi Sundowns due to reported differences behind the scenes between him and a senior official at Chloorkop.

Transfermarkt indicates that Wydad have signed nine players since Mokwena took charge, while 12 stars have left, either released or sold.

With two recent exits from Wydad having joined the same club, Kuwait SC, a third star has officially been unveiled by the Persian Gulf team.

Defender Amine Aboulfath has signed for Kuwait SC, just weeks after the club sealed transfers for former Wydad pair Yahya Jabrane and Arsene Zola.

"The club's management has signed 26-year-old central defender Amine Aboulfath for the 2024/25 sports season," Kuwait SC said in a statement, according to Le360 Sports.

Aboulfath joined Wydad in November 2020, and made more than 100 appearances for the Red Castle, in addition to winning three trophies with the club, including the 2021/22 CAF Champions League title.
