The experienced winger is part of the Bafana Bafana African Nations Championship squad that played to a 1-1 draw against Angola in a behind-closed-doors friendly match on Tuesday.
"I wanted to stay as well, but obviously a few... I won't say problems, but a few decisions have to be made around the senior players and salaries and all of that, but I think the chairman spoke about it," Dolly told journalists after the CHAN clash.
"But for them, I just didn't think it was worth it to stay at the club and not get what you deserve.
"I just felt like it was time to move on and try to look for something better, not just for me, I'm getting to the later stages of my career, so it's also about my family at this point, to make sure everyone is comfortable.
"So yes, I had to think long and hard about it because, to be fair, TS Galaxy was good to me. They are a good club, they promote a lot of youngsters.
"It was just a decision I had to make for myself and my future."
