Edinho, who played as goalkeeper for his father's club Santos, is expected to appeal the decision dispensed by a judge on Friday in the city of Praia Grande. Four other co-accused received similar sentences.
The 43-year-old, real name Edson Cholbi do Nascimento, is currently working as a keeper coach at Santos.
Pele is regarded by many as the greatest footballer of all time, helping Brazil to three World Cup triumphs during a playing career that stretched from 1956 to 1977.
