In this edition of Supporters Forum, KickOff speaks to Mamelodi Sundowns fan Lesego Mabena about his long-standing affair with the DStv Premiership defending champions.
Name of supporter
"Lesego Mabena, known as 'Sista Les'. I'm the Sundowns supporters' national chairperson.
"I'm an employee at Statistics South Africa."
Club supported?
"I grew up supporting Junior Romans, from Junior Romans it was Pretoria Callies. I have never supported a team that is from outside of Pretoria.
"In 1986 I started supporting Sundowns because of their style of play, and again it was easy for me to go to Super Stadium (Lucas Moripe Stadium) and watch them play as they are locally based."
Are you happy with the bosses?
"Very much happy. The leadership have created an environment whereby the supporters got a say in certain matters that relate to the team.
"Supporters are being recognised here; I don't think there are other supporters locally that have access to their team as we do at Sundowns.
"We are able to sit down with the chairman and discuss certain matters that affect Sundowns supporters in general."
Are you happy with the coach?
"We are happy. We understand there are certain things as supporters we can't control.
"Our duty is to support, if we show love and support to our coaches they will deliver."

Are you happy with players?
"We are happy. Once the team gives you an opportunity it means you are one of the best."
Who do you want them to sign?
"Currently we have a big squad, and we are happy. I'm happy with the players they have signed so far. We are good to go."
Your message to the team?
"I just wanted to wish the team all the best all season. They have shown us that they are dominant in the PSL, now it's time to conquer Africa. We need the second star."
