Former Manchester United club captain, Harry Maguire has been the subject of some Twitter banter after reports suggested that Maguire's potential £30million move to West Ham United broke down after the player and the club failed to agree personal terms.
The centre back has two years remaining on his United contract, and reportedly received a salary increase after United qualified for this season's Champions League on the back of their 3rd place finish at the end of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.
However, Maguire did not play a major role in the campaign, making 16 Premier League appearances and starting only eight of those matches. Maguire does not seem to be a part of United manager Erik ten Hag's plans and seems to favour Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw at centre back over the England international.
The Guardian reported that Maguire wants around a £7m pay out to leave the Red Devils.
