Pitso Mosimane says nobody will bully Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has warned their counterparts in the CAF Champions League that they will not bully his team, especially when playing in South Africa.

This comes after Otoho d'Oyo caused a skirmish at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday when officials from the visiting team stormed the VIP section and demanded entrance without accreditation.

The scuffle between Otoho officials and the security officials at the stadium spilled over even after the match in the tunnel and this time the situation was diffused by the arrival of the police.

Sundowns beat the Congolese side 4-0 on the night and 5-2 on aggregate.

Mosimane has noted that the culture and mentality of other African countries to cause fights during the CAF Champions League is not a good advert for continental football.

"There was a fight before the match, big fight," said Mosimane.

"You must understand the culture and mentality of these teams. They are big where they come from, they win all the games, they bully everybody. You know at Sundowns we sorted this. No one is going to bully us here, we sort them out here.

"Teams must know that we need to win on the pitch and outside the pitch we need peace in the passages, we need peace in the corridors. When we travel, when we went to Congo, we went to the dressing rooms, we lost, we came out, no problem. Why is there a problem when they are here?"

Mosimane and his charges now switch their focus to domestic football as they travel to the Free State to face Bloemfontein Celtic in a league game on Wednesday.
