Esperance 2-1 TP Elect Sport (4-2 on agg.) Esperance progressed to the CAF Champions League group stages following a 2-1 win at home to TP Elect Sport on Friday. The defending champions held a slight advantage heading into the tie after claiming an away goal in the first leg earlier this month. The visitors went to the break in the lead following Hamid Ibrahim's 38th minute effort, but Ibrahim Ouattara levelled on 62 minutes. Abdelraouf Benguit made the match safe seven minutes to the end, giving Esperance a 4-2 aggregate win. KCCA 1-1 Petro Luanda (1-1 on agg.) Kampala City Council Authority saw their Champions League journey come to an end after a 1-1 draw against Petro Luanda in the return leg at home. The tie was evenly poised heading in to the second leg after the first leg ended goalless two weeks ago, Ricardo gifted the visitors a halftime lead with a 37th minute penalty conversion, but Martin Kizza levelled matters in the 57th minute as Petro march into the group stages.
