Greenlight for Sekhukhune new signing

Sekhukhune United will have Congolese wingback Alves Ngakosso-Oko available for selection with effect from this weekend following the completion of his registration.

Ngakosso-Oko signed late last year but has not been available for selection due to work permit procedures.

The Congolese's signing was necessitated by the club losing their first choice right-back Shaune Mogaila.

Mogaila has not played football again since the accident which happened on the morning of 30 October, just hours after he had played 90 minutes against Richards Bay at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

He is due to make his second court appearance on Tuesday.

Minus Mogaila, Sekhukhune have used Katlego Mkhabela, Njabulo Ngcobo and Tshepo Mokoane.

With Ngakosso-Oko he has agreed to six-month deal with an option of a further two years and is awaiting the issuing of his work permit.

Ngakosso-Oko impressed Lehlohonolo Seema last year before agreeing to a deal running to the end of the season with an option of a further two years.

The 24-year-old has been playing for Diables Noirs Brazzaville in Congo and troubled Sekhukhune last season in the CAF Confederation Cup.

In that game he scored with a memorable long range shot.

He has been included in the travelling squad for the match against Stellenbosch on Saturday afternoon.
