Romelu Lukaku is seemingly set to reveal some shock details around his latest exit from Chelsea.

Romelu Lukaku has stated that "everyone would be shocked" when they find out certain details about his latest Chelsea exit.

The Belgium striker once again departed Stamford Bridge in the off-season, this time to reunite with Jose Mourinho at Roma in a one-year loan deal, and seems to be content with that decision.

Lukaku had returned to the Blues after spending the 2022/23 season on loan at Inter Milan, and looked set to join the Serie A outfit on a permanent basis, but that deal fell through after the Nerazzurri discovered that he was in talks with Juventus over a potential move too.

Lukaku was almost left without any options, though, after a potential swap deal involving Dusan Vlahovic, which would have seen the Serbian go to Chelsea and the Belgian head the other way, also failed to materialise.

Having joined Roma since, the forward has been in flying form, scoring seven goals in eight appearances so far.

Now on international duty representing his country, the former Manchester United has stated that he will soon reveal "shock" details behind his latest Stamford Bridge exit.

"Most of the people in the room know me. You know that I don't like to beat around the bush," Lukaku said, as per Football365.

"I will speak in time, but if I really said how it all went last summer, everyone would be shocked.

"There were times when I really thought I might explode, five years ago I probably wouldn't have stood back and done it.

"Now I am focused on what I do best, I know how to play football. I worked hard all summer."

Former Inter defender Antonio Paganin has since urged Lukaku to "speak or shut up".

"I had appreciated the silence up until now," he said.

"The moment you say, 'I will speak', the respect that was there disappears from me.

"We are certainly missing something, but now either you speak or you shut up."
