Al Ahly interim head coach Samy Komsan says he learned a lot from working with Pitso Mosimane after the side's big win on Wednesday.

Komsan began his interim reign with a 4-1 victory over Eastern Company in the Egyptian Premier League last evening.

It was the first game since Mosimane's surprise departure on Monday, but Komsan had nothing put praise for the South African tactician.

“I thank Mosimane for the time he spent at Al Ahly,” Komsan said after the game, as per KingFut.

“He is a great coach who I learned so much from technically.

“We lost the ball so many times in the opening minutes of the game but then we quickly managed to regain control after that spell.

“It was a great result and performance from the team, and the return of international players will definitely boost the squad. We are playing to win the league.

“It’s an honour for me to be Al Ahly’s head coach even if it’s just for one or two games.”

Here are the 15 African nations with the most players in foreign leagues, according to CIES Football Observatory.
