The 1998 Africa Cup of Nations winner was speaking to an Egyptian radio station when he opened up on some of the leadership that he had experienced during his time at the club as both a player and a coach.

"The German [Reiner] Hollmann and the Portuguese Manuel Jose are among the best coaches in Al-Ahly’s history, as they were distinguished by their good dealings with the players," he said per Kora Plus

He also went on to highlight former Moroka Swallows boss Rainer Zobel as one of the "most difficult" coaches he had to deal with in his career.

The CAF Champions League winner then Mosimane and his achievements during his tenure at the club from October 2020 to June 2022.

"South African Pitso Mosimane is one of the best coaches who took over the technical leadership of the Red Castle in recent years, and he was able to achieve many championships and win over Zamalek and Ismaily with great results," Salah El-Din said.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach, meanwhile, joined relegation-threatened Saudi Pro League side Abha Club on short-term deal in January this year.

The team managed to secure their second win under Mosimane on Thursday night when they beat 12th-placed Al Wehda 1-0.
