Carlos Queiroz could be re-appointed coach of Egypt just two months after his contract was terminated by the Egyptian Football Association.
The former Bafana Bafana coach left his post in April by mutual consent after the Pharaohs failed to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Ehab Galal was brought in as the successor but didn't last too long as a win over Guinea and shock loss to Ethiopia in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers saw his reign come to an end this week.
EFA board member Hazem Emam has revealed that the former Manchester United assistant is being considered for the role once again.

“I respect Carlos Queiroz very much and the work he did with the Egyptian national team,” Emam said at the EFA’s press conference, according to KingFut.
“I know fans have criticised him for his defensive approach but the way they wanted him to play was difficult to achieve on the pitch.
“I haven’t spoken to Queiroz since he left the national team, but he is certainly one of the leading candidates to coach Egypt going forward.
“I will not reveal the names of the other candidates because we are still in talks. There is a large number of managers who are interested in this opportunity,” he added.
