A 2023 Africa Cup of Nations winner with Ivory Coast is now the subject of huge interest from a Premier League club.

A number of players left a lasting impression at the recent AFCON, with stars such as Simon Adingra of the Ivory Coast, Nigeria's Ademola Lookman and South Africa captain Ronwen Williams being some of the standout names.

Several defenders also caught the eye, with the Super Eagles' William Troost-Ekong winning the Player of the Tournament award, whilst DR Congo skipper Chancel Mbemba also made the competition's best XI.

However, one centre-back who seemingly flew under the radar was the Elephants' Evan Ndicka, who featured in all seven games at the tournament, including the final.

The 24-year-old helped his team keep two clean sheets en route to one of perhaps the unlikeliest AFCON title wins in recent memory, with the Ivorians having been on the verge of elimination during the group stage.

Ndicka's stock has risen significantly over the past two seasons, with his 2021/22 UEFA Europa League triumph with Eintracht Frankfurt paving the way for an eventual transfer to AS Roma, then managed by Jose Mourinho, in July 2023.

However, it is now being reported that the Paris-born star could yet again be on the move after just one season in Rome.

According to ASRomaLive, Premier League club Fulham are keen on the Ivorian's services following his glowing performances at AFCON.

The London outfit is likely to part ways with one of their most trusted defenders, Tosin Adarabioyo, and are believed to have been scanning the market for potential replacements.

Ndicka has started 15 Serie A games this term, helping the team keep five clean sheets and registering an assist for a goal too.

Serie A rivals Juventus are also said to be keeping tabs on the former France U21 star, but it is understood Roma are yet to receive a formal offer from either club.

The Giallorossi are guaranteed capital gain should they sanction Ndicka's exit, having signed the player as a free agent at the beginning of the season.
