Siyabonga Ngezana has affirmed his standing as the top performing South African in Europe on Sunday as he reached yet another personal milestone.
Sunday evening was match day 29 in the league for Ngezana’s Romanian employers FCSB and the towering defender delivered another solid showing in the 1-0 win over Petrolul 52.

The three points in the bag for FCSB came on a night when Ngezana reached 2000 minutes for the club in what was his 24th appearance of the season in all competitions.
Ngezana was slotted in at central alongside Cameroonian Joyskim Dawa and mad sure of that the twelfth clean sheet was kept.
It was the 22nd full shift for the former Kaizer Chiefs defender who had a slow start after joining at the beginning of the season.
There is one game remaining for FCSB in the regular season and will come against second placed Raoid Bucuresti on Saturday.
In the meanwhile, FCSB will now head into the championship play-offs guaranteed of at least a three-point lead as they aim to wrap up the title.
FCSB have reached 64 points and second placed Rapid Bucuresti can only get to a maximum of 57 points.
After the regular season, the Romanian campaign will then switch to the championship play-offs.

In that championship play-off, the points accumulated by the top six teams from the regular season are halved and those six teams then play against each other twice to determine the league winners who then qualify for the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds.
Ngezana has never won silverware in the seven years he spent in the first team at Kaizer Chiefs.
