Khama Billiat’s frustrating start to the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League (PSL) season continued as his Yadah fell to Bulawayo Chiefs, a second defeat of the campaign.

Four matches into the new season and Yadah are yet to find their groove. The Miracle Boys had already lost one and drawn two of their first three matches before meeting Chiefs in the Castle Lager Premier League on Sunday.

Goals from Leroy Ndlovu, Benjamin Addotey and Never Rauzhi were enough to collect all three points for Chiefs, while Jerry Chipangura pulled on back for Yadah in an encounter that ended 3-1 in favour of the home side.

For Billiat, the defeat is further misery to what has been a frustrating start to his Yadah career following a controversial exit from DStv Premiership outfit Kaizer Chiefs.

In addition to a first win since his arrival, the 33-year-old is also still searching for his first goal contribution this season, having been unable to register either a goal or an assist in the three of four competitive matches he has played.

Billiat’s only bit of brilliance this season was on display in a pre-season friendly match in which the 2015/16 PSL Footballer of the Season scored a brace against Mozambiquena side Clube Ferroviário da Beira at the start of March.

Still, Billiat enjoys the backing of Yadah head coach Thomas Ruzive, who believes it’s only a matter of time before he gets on the score sheet.

"I think he is trying to adjust to the local football scene. So, he will adjust and he will score," Ruzive was quoted by The Chronicle.

The defeat leaves Yadah in 16th position on the log table as one of just four teams yet to collect a win this season.
