The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed that the DStv Premiership match between Kaizer Chiefs and Richards Bay FC has been moved to a new date.

Amakhosi will now play guest to the Natal Rich Boyz at King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday, 21 April, a day later than the initial date of Saturday, 20 April.

The guests go into the match in desperate need of a change in fortunes, having collected just one win from their last nine outings. Chiefs have also lost three of their last five league matches, including a shock 2-0 beating from Chippa United.

Amakhosi can however, draw some confidence from their 1-0 victory over Richards Bay in the reverse fixture, played in December at FNB Stadium.

On the other hand, the hosts have not fared much better. The Natal Richboys slump in 15th on the DStv Premiership log table with a similarly run of form to Chiefs - three defeats from their last five outings.

Noteworthy though, Bay won their last league match with a 1-0 victory over Moroka Swallows and that may be enough reason to be confident.

So much so that Bay head coach Vusumuzi Vilakazi admitted that he had preferred to play against Amakhosi as soon as possible.

"I would have loved to play them (Chiefs) this coming weekend, but unfortunately we can’t, obviously there’s cup games," Vilakazi said after their win against Swallows.

"When people are still sleeping, you wish to get them that time.

"So, when they wake up, there’s a chance that they might cause problems. We would’ve really loved [to play against Chiefs] this weekend.
